About us: Our Price Promise: Notes

 If you can find comparable products and/or services of the same quality, supplied on the same basis and at a price less than ours, we will credit the difference.

Think You’ve Been Given a Better Deal?

We really do believe that we offer unbeatable value for money.

Unfortunately, it is all too easy for less scrupulous companies to give the impression of providing comparable products and/or services of the same quality, that are supplied on the same basis. This is often not the case however.

Learn more about helping to ensure the integrity and competence of your supplier in our guidance sheet on “Fire Trade Cowboys”. Learn the difference between slick sales patter and good effective promises in our guidance sheet on “Slick Language - Spotting the Spin”.

Still Think it’s a Better Deal and Want to Make a Claim?

We strive hard to maintain our unbeatable value for money. However, if you’ve got a valid claim under our price promise we want to know about it and put the situation right!!

Simply run through our checklist below and contact us to provide the documentation requested. Assuming the information checks out we’ll aim to arrange a credit note within five working days.

Price Promise Claim Checklist & Conditions

These notes and conditions supplement the main details of our Price Promise. In order to fulfil the requirements of our Price Promise and the requirement for the “comparable products and/or services [to be] of the same quality, supplied on the same basis”:

  • the products and/or services must at the very least:
    • be of at least the same quality;

    • be covered by a guarantee that is at least as comprehensive as ours and lasting for at least the same period;
    • be supplied on the same basis and in the same manner (e.g. surveyed, recommended, supplied, delivered, fitted, commissioned, etc.);
    • where applicable, include the cost of disposal of any old equipment, extinguishing medium, and/or component parts (as applicable); and
    • not have any hidden costs or additional ongoing costs (e.g. a requirement for more expensive maintenance and/or parts); and

    • have their main operating premises within 20 miles of the point of supply (typically the customer’s site);
    • have at least ten years continuous trading history;
    • in the case of fire extinguisher products and services:

    • in the case of training products and services:
      • be full members of the trade associations FIA (formerly BFPSA, FETA and the FIC);
      • the scope of the above BS EN ISO 9001:2015 certification must specifically include “training services”;

      • be members of the IFE;
    • in the case of fire alarm and/or emergency lighting products and services:

    • be supported with clear documentary evidence of all of the above points, such documentation to be full and unaltered copies;
    • be supported with all terms and conditions relating to any competitive quote;
    • be made within fourteen days of receiving or agreeing to the product/service; and
    • be accompanied with a part payment up the value of the invoice less the difference being claimed. Such payments must be offered in part payment, pending the outcome of the claim, and not “in full and final settlement”, or similar.

A failure to fully produce appropriate evidence of the above points and/or otherwise fulfil the requirements will result in the claim being rejected, without the option to resubmit the claim. Only one claim is permitted in connection with any given product/service.
