BS EN ISO 9001:2008 is the internationally recognised standard produced by
BSI for the requirements of a businessís quality management system.
BS EN ISO 9001:2008 lays down the requirements for a businessís quality management system. In addition to meeting these requirements, Companies that operate within given sectors, should also operate to the standards which apply to their specific sector.
In the case of the Contract Maintenance of Portable Fire Extinguishers

and ST104 are the sector specific schemes, in turn also requiring compliance with British Standard
BS 5306 parts 3 and

BSI also produce guidance on BS EN ISO 9001 on
their website, although this does not cover trade specific areas such as
